I don%26#039;t want perspective employers to dig into my report and lower my scores simply because they can with little or no interest in hiring. Is there anything anywhere that upholds my right to privacy until such time as the interview process is complete (contingent on the OK from the credit bureaus)?

Since it costs money to run a credit report, I doubt most companies do so until they%26#039;ve found the right candidate for the job. You can simply explain that you don%26#039;t want your score to be lowered by too many inquiries into your credit.
